Alrighty, let's see if I can keep this up for more than a few weeks as would be my usual style.
We've bought a house. Well, we're in the process of buying a house and I hope I'm not jumping in and going crazy with the house packing prematurely cos we're still waiting to hear from the bank as to our approved finance. Not that I'm worried that we might not be approved but the track record of the bank so far has been less than stellar.
We made an appointment for them to come and do the mobile banking thing in our home so my boyfriend and I didn't have to dick about with trying to find a time when we could both make it to the bank. They didn't turn up for the first appointment. And not a word as to why. Great. Things happen, we get that so we made a second appointment after voicing out concern about the first non-existent one. The chap turns up, he's nice as pie, we keep him past his dinner time and watch him have to reject a couple of calls from his wife asking where he is. All the pre-approval paperwork is done, he leaves and we feel good about that.
A month later (whyy did it take a month?) we get an email from said bank man telling up we're good to go shopping. Yippee! We try for a few weeks unsuccessfully to find a place to inspect to buy before stumbling across a promising looking place on the boy's bus ride to work. Rad. Sooooo we've put in an offer which was accepted and the real estate guy asks us if we got the pre-approval letter from the bank. Ummm no.... we only got an email telling us to go shopping which we thought was strange to not get a letter from them in the mail, but thought maybe it was a save the trees type thing. Strike 2 for iffy bank dealings. Anyway, the building and pest inspection is done, the solicitor has been organised, we're all ready to move in in three weeks provided the bank does it's freaking job. I'm nervous that they might not. We have a deadline, people! Granted, that deadline isn't for another 6 days but we've not heard anything other that "That's great news! We'll be in touch if we need anything else" and I'm sure there's a lot of questions they need to ask us. Boyfriend's gonna call them today cos he's the main money man. We've decided to split all the jobs up so he gets to do the bank stuff and I get to do the agent/solicitor/inspection/insurance/connection stuff. Keep your fingers crossed for me that they're actually doing their job, guys!
Uh, so this is getting a little off track. I didn't mean to whinge that much ^^;
I found myself packing up the dolls first since that was something I didn't want to do in a rush. All the girls are in their little boxes and any that didn't have their own boxes have little makeshift travel cases for now. The only one I've left out is my newest arrival - Crobidol Pola who is my first ever anthro :o
I know I said no more tiny tiny dolls after I sold my Pukifee but this little guy came up on Y!J so I hit the bid button and here he is! At least, I think he's a he.
